Our Story

It all began with a simple discovery on a quiet Saturday morning, exploring a local farmer's market here in the heart of Yorkshire. I tasted a spoonful of chutney so rich and perfectly spiced it felt like a story in a jar. It was made by a family who had been using the same recipe for generations. In that moment, I realised that Yorkshire was full of these hidden treasures – incredible flavours and beautiful products crafted with passion by independent makers.

My name is Ms. Shilongo, and for me, the best part of finding these gems was the joy of sharing them. I’d bring them home, build a cheeseboard for friends, or gift a special bottle of gin to celebrate a small victory. I loved seeing the delight on their faces as they discovered these new tastes for themselves.

But I knew there were so many people who would never get to experience this. People who were looking for a gift that felt truly special, personal, and full of meaning, but didn't have the time to search for it.

That’s when the idea for this business was born.

It is the result of my personal mission to seek out the very best of this county's independent artisans and share their stories with you. Every item in our collections is here for a reason. It's a product I have personally tasted, loved, and believe in, from a maker I admire.
